A couple living in Wisconsin brought an asbestos lawsuit against 31 companies of defendant after the husband was diagnosed with the cancer of mesothelioma. Amado Torres-Padron and Laurentina Torres brought the lawsuit on October 1, blaming the defendants of the unjustified exposure to asbestos.

The lawsuit claims that Amado was wrongly exposed to toxic asbestos fibres during its employment as a workman of railroad, a farm labourer and working of foundry in the whole of Texas, of Illinois, of Kansas and Wisconsin. Its exposure pled take place between 1945 and the middle of the Nineties.

The couple blames the defendants to knowingly expose Amado to the asbestos, which led to the development of the mesothelioma. The lawsuit declares that the exposure of Amado to the toxin mortal was foreseeable by the companies of defendant and could be prevented.
